Conflict Resolution is a crucial part of maintaining peace and order within and among IP communities in BARMM.
In line with maintaining the mandate of the Bangsamoro government to ensure peace and development in its constituent communities, the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs (MIPA) conducted the “Crafting of Conflict Mechanism of the Sama Badjao of Sulu Province” on November 15-18, 2022 in Jolo, Sulu.
The main purpose of the activity is to craft a Conflict Mechanism for the Sama Badjao of Sulu through the collaborative efforts of tribal leaders and elders, provincial, municipal, and barangay chieftains, IP Women’s groups and IP youth leaders facilitated by MIPA representatives from the Customary Laws and Traditional Justice System Division.
