The event marked a important milestone in the history of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), bringing together various ministries and offices to celebrate unity, culture, and shared achievements.

The Grand Kanduli was a communal gathering where each ministry and office prepared and brought 20 dulang. Each dulang, a traditional wooden platter commonly used in Moro festivities, was designed to serve five people. MIPA contributed its share of dulang, reflecting its solidarity and active participation in the region’s cultural and celebratory traditions.

One of the highlight of the event was the inspirational message delivered by the Minister of MIPA Minister Melanio U. Ulama. In his speech, he paid homage to the historical struggles of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) leaders, whose perseverance and sacrifices paved the way for the establishment of the BARMM. The Minister emphasized that the achievements celebrated during the anniversary were the fruits of decades of dedication, resilience, and unwavering belief in self-determination and peace.

The event fostered camaraderie among participants and underscored the important of maintaining unity while celebrating the region’s diverse heritage. The MIPA delegation expressed pride in representing the Indigenous Peoples of the Bangsamoro region and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that strengthen the bonds between various communities under the BARMM.
