This event marked the culmination of months of collaborative efforts with the Saniag Teduray Menubo Ancestral Domain Claimants Organization (STEMADCO), Maw Descendants Ancestral Domain Claimants Organization (MADADCO), and other stakeholders. The writeshop served as the finalization of all gathered data, ensuring that every critical detail, including those previously overlooked, was included in the ADSDPP framework. It guarantees that the ADSDPP will be a comprehensive and actionable five-year plan reflecting the shared aspirations and priorities of the community.

Participants revisited their data and shared compelling narratives of sacred sites, clan histories, traditional practices, and the challenges faced by their communities, such as land disputes, cultural erosion, and armed conflicts. Through these discussions, the framework was meticulously refined to comprehensively reflect the aspirations, cultural heritage, and sustainable goals of the ICCs.

As we move forward, the ADSDPP will serve as a guiding document to protect ancestral domains and ensure the sustainable development of Indigenous communities. MIPA-BARMM remains committed to empowering ICCs and supporting their aspirations for self-determination, cultural preservation, and sustainable growth.

Congratulations to STEMADCO and MADADCO for their dedication in making this milestone possible. Together, we are not only crafting a plan but building a legacy of empowerment, unity, and sustainable development for future generations.
