.s part of the celebration of the 6th Foundation Day, the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs, headed by the Minister, Minister Melanio U. Ulama, turned over the following projects:
• Construction of 50-unit core shelter at Barangay Limponggo, Datu Hoffer Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur, funded under SDF 2021;
• Construction of Tribal Hall at Barangay Limponggo, Datu Hoffer Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur, funded under SDF 2022; and
• Construction of Tribal Hall at Barangay Kauran, Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur
The event was attended by the municipal and barangay IPMRs, tribal leaders and elders, tribal women and youth, representatives from the municipalities of Ampatuan and Datu Hoffer Ampatuan, as well as representatives from the Philippine National Police.
The beneficiaries of the projects extended their gratitude to MIPA and the BARMM government for being chosen as the beneficiaries of the projects, which will serve as a venue for practices of our IPs in traditional dispute resolution and self-governance, and the housing project will bring hope and uplift the lives of the IP beneficiaries.
The Tribal Hall is a one-story building with three rooms, including a conference room, a tribal leader office, and one other office room. It also has office furniture and equipment, while the Core Shelter consists of 2 rooms and a comfort room.
